Music Monday ft. FIVE SAUCE

Before I get into this post, I just wanted to note that at the time you read this this gets published, it is 10 days before I write my OAT. And as I am writing this (on Thursday August 14, at 12:10 a.m.), I am nervous as hell, I still have a ton of orgo to learn, bio and chem to review, and a few more chapters of physics to study, and I am really dreading test day. Anyhow, life shall go on. Hope you enjoy this post... or not.

[[[In five months, I'm probably going to look at this post and facepalm myself so hard.]]]

"Five sauce" is officially my secret code for discretely referring to 5SOS, which you may or may not know stands for 5 Seconds of Summer.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again - where were all the cool teen boy bands back when I was a teen?! No, the Jonas Brothers weren't that cool.

As you may or may not know, I went to a One Direction concert a little over two weeks ago, and 5 Seconds of Summer opened up for them. And I don't know what happened between then and now, but something happened and now I am dangerously obsessed with 5SOS.

Okay fine, I know exactly what happened: I was already hooked on She Looks So Perfect after having heard it while I was listening to some happy pop playlists on Songza. And then I listened through their album a few hours before heading to the concert. A few songs stuck out to me then, but it wasn't until after the concert when I re-listened to the album when I latched onto a few several that I now listen to over and over again (about six times a day). Aaaaand then, the usual, Wikipedia'd them, found their Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, etc., etc., etc... Aaaaaand now I know all their names and ages and random facts and dear lord I need help.

Without further ado, here are my favourites, in no particular order:

1. She Looks So Perfect

So catchy catchy catchy. Strange video, but eh. Find me a music video that isn't strange. (No, don't actually, it's fine).

2. Don't Stop

So catchy catchy catchy. This is not a recording. The video is absolutely adorable.

3. Heartbreak Girl

Ahh yes, back when the lads were fetuses... and this makes my obsession with them even creepier. I'm not sure why this song reminds me of old-school McFly, but it does.

4. English Love Affair

This is the song that ISN'T ON THE NORTH AMERICAN ALBUM DO YOU KNOW HOW UPSETTING THAT IS!!??!??!!

5. 18

Oh boys, you don't need to be 18 for me. NO I NEED TO STOP STOP STOP STOP

6. wow why don't you just say you like the entire album Beside You

This is one of those songs that I belt out loudly and sob to and feel an emotional connection with, despite not being able to relate. Actually, that's the case for a lot of songs that I listen to.

7. LAST ONE I PROMISE Amnesia

See my description for song #6. However, I am disappointed with the video being kinda random. Ashton (the drummer and my fave oh god he is just) said that they made the video nostalgic because they didn't want to make the video sad, despite it being a sad song. Oh well.

OKAY, IT'S OVER! GO ON AND HAVE A NICE DAY.
